Top Shot Maryland's NRA Instructor Pistol Shooting Course

Have you ever wanted to become an NRA Pistol Instructor? Well look no further. This is the exact class you need to take to make that a reality.

Here at Top Shot Maryland we specialize in teaching experienced shooters how to become incredible instructors! We are very patient and will work you one-on-one showing you exactly what you will need to do to accomplish that goal.

As an NRA Pistol Instructor you will be able to teach students how to get their Handgun Qualification License (HQL).

Instructor candidates must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attitude to teach the full NRA Basic Pistol course. Topics include fundamentals, target scoring, marksmanship, shooting positions, maintenance, storage, and ammunition for SOA/DAO revolvers and semi-automatic handguns. Candidates must pass the Instructor Exam and shoot Level 4 at 45 feet. Basic firearm safety and shooting skills are prerequisites.

There are certain prerequisites you will need to take before you can sit for the instructor class. For example, prior to coming to class instructor candidates must complete the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting course and pass it with Level 4 rating. Students will also have to complete a pre-course questionnaire, demonstrate firearm experience by doing pre-course assessments, and must have completed Basic Instructor Training (BIT) within the past two years. For those who need to take BIT please contact Eric and let him know asap. The cost of BIT is $100. Top Shot Maryland has this set up so you can accomplish all of this within a couple of days.

You will need a firearm, eye protection, ear protection, and 150 rounds of ammo.  If you need to rent a firearm, please let the instructor know.
