Welcome to Top Shot Maryland’s NRA Instructor Concealed Carry (CCW) Course.  The class is designed for those who want to become an NRA CCW Instructor.

Have you ever wanted to become an NRA Concealed Carry (CCW) Instructor? Well look no further. This is the exact class you need to take to make that a reality.    

Here at Top Shot Maryland we specialize in teaching experienced shooters how to become incredible instructors! We are very patient and will work you one-on-one showing you exactly what you will need to do to accomplish that goal.

This comprehensive 16-hour course is designed to equip Instructor Candidates with the essential knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to organize, promote, and teach the NRA Basic Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) course. Throughout the training, Instructor Candidates will demonstrate their organizational and teaching abilities through practical exercises. In addition to successfully completing the practical teaching exercises, instructor candidates must also pass the instructor certification exam and the CCW Instructor Level shooting qualification.

The NRA Instructor Concealed Carry (CCW) Course emphasizes the development of skills necessary to teach the ethical, responsible, and confident use of a concealed firearm. Upon completion, Instructor Candidates will be capable of explaining and demonstrating key concepts such as:

• Applying the NRA Rules for Safe Gun Handling when carrying a concealed firearm

• Basic principles of concealment and the distinction between cover and concealment

• Proper drawing techniques from a holster

• Levels of mental awareness

• Developing the correct mindset for personal defense with a pistol

• Clearing common firearm stoppages, and more.

Prerequisites:

• Must be a current Certified Pistol Instructor

• Must have passed NRA Basic CCW

• Have completed Basic Instructor Training (BIT) within the past two years. 

Required Gear: Handgun, eye and ear protection, 150 rounds of ammunition, pistol holster, three magazines, magazine holster capable of holding two magazines, and a zipper jacket that can be closed in front
