NRA Basic Instructor Training Course

All NRA Instructor courses are two-part courses. The first part is called NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) and the second part is the specific NRA Instructor Shooting Discipline. This NRA Basic Instructor Training Course (BIT) is a minimum of 6 hours long and will teach students the policies, procedures, and teaching methodologies required for becoming an effective NRA instructor. BIT is mandatory for all students interested in taking an NRA Instructor course.
Instructor candidates will learn and practice through classroom demonstration the following topics during BIT:
• How to introduce a speaker
• The instructor and the NRA Basic Firearm Training Program
• Using a training team
• Training materials and training aids
• Organizing your course
• Different teaching methodologies
• Preparing to teach
Class will begin at 8:00AM at: Top Shot Maryland, LLC 48 Thornhill Road Lutherville Timonium, MD 21093. This course does not have a shooting component so please do not bring any firearms or ammunition with you to class. The price of the course is $100.00 class fee + $3.20 processing fee = $103.20.
