SUMMARY:NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting Course
DESCRIPTION:This NRA Basic Shotgun course is ten hours long and includes both classroom and range time instruction on how to shoot shotguns at moving targets. This is an instructor-led course where you will receive direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end. Students will learn the NRA rules for safe gun handling\, parts of a shotgun\, different types of shotguns\, operation\, ammunition\, shooting fundamentals\, range rules\, and how to clean a shotgun. In addition to classroom instruction students will complete a live fire training exercise at a range with an NRA Certified Instructor. \nStudents will receive the NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook and the NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program book. At the successful completion of the class\, students will also receive an NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting Course certificate. This class includes a live-fire exercise so bring your shotgun and ammunition (50 shells\, shot size 7.5 or 8\, no slugs). When you arrive\, please leave your ammunition in your car.  Class will start at 8:00AM. Prior to the instructor training\, candidates must complete a pre-course questionnaire and demonstrate their firearm background in pre-course assessment exercises. Students must have taken NRA Basic Shotgun course and have passed it with a 90% and have taken Basic Instructor Training (BIT) within the last 2 years. SUMMARY:NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting Course
DESCRIPTION:This NRA Basic Shotgun course is ten hours long and includes both classroom and range time instruction on how to shoot shotguns at moving targets. This is an instructor-led course where you will receive direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end. Students will learn the NRA rules for safe gun handling\, parts of a shotgun\, different types of shotguns\, operation\, ammunition\, shooting fundamentals\, range rules\, and how to clean a shotgun. In addition to classroom instruction students will complete a live fire training exercise at a range with an NRA Certified Instructor. \nStudents will receive the NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook and the NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program book. At the successful completion of the class\, students will also receive an NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting Course certificate. This class includes a live-fire exercise so bring your shotgun and ammunition (50 shells\, shot size 7.5 or 8\, no slugs). When you arrive\, please leave your ammunition in your car.  Class will start at 8:00AM. SUMMARY:NRA Shotgun Instructor Shooting Course
DESCRIPTION:This 11-hour course teaches the knowledge\, skills and attitude essential to organizing\, promoting and teaching NRA’s Shotgun Instructor Shooting course. Instructor candidates will demonstrate organizational and teaching skills while participating in practical exercises\, complete an instructor certification examination\, and complete the shooting qualification shooting prone\, benchrest\, and standing. \nThere are certain prerequisites that must be completed before being allowed to take the NRA Shotgun Instructor class. Students must possess basic firearm safety and shooting skills as a perquisite for certification as an NRA instructor. Prior to the instructor training\, candidates must complete a pre-course questionnaire and demonstrate their firearm background in pre-course assessment exercises. Students must have taken NRA Basic Shotgun course and have passed it with a 90% and have taken Basic Instructor Training (BIT) within the last 2 years. For those who need to take BIT please contact Eric and let him know. The cost of BIT is $100. \nPlease bring your shotgun (over/under or semi-automatic)\, eye protection\, ear protection\, and three boxes of shells (7.5 or 8\, no slugs).
