SUMMARY:NRA Rifle Instructor Shooting Course
DESCRIPTION:This 10-hour course teaches the knowledge\, skills and attitude essential to organizing\, promoting and teaching NRA’s Rifle Instructor Shooting course. Instructor candidates will demonstrate organizational and teaching skills while participating in practical exercises\, complete an instructor certification examination\, and complete the shooting qualification shooting prone\, benchrest\, and standing. \nThere are certain prerequisites that must be completed before being allowed to take the NRA Rifle Instructure class. Students must possess basic firearm safety and shooting skills as a perquisite for certification as an NRA instructor. Prior to the instructor training\, candidates must complete a pre-course questionnaire and demonstrate their firearm background in pre-course assessment exercises. Students must have taken NRA Basic Rifle course and have passed it with a 90% and have taken Basic Instructor Training (BIT) within the last 2 years. For those who need to take BIT please contact Eric and let him know. The cost of BIT is $100. \nPlease bring your rifle\, eye protection\, ear protection\, and 150 rounds of ammunition. DESCRIPTION:This is the exact class you need to take to obtain your Maryland Wear & Carry Permit or for those looking to become an NRA CCW Instructor. This 16-hour NRA Concealed Carry (CCW) Course is taught over 2-days. Day one consists of all classroom time. Day two is combination of both range time mixed with classroom time. Topics that will be taught include firearm safety\, handgun nomenclature\, selecting a handgun for self-defense\, ammunition knowledge and defensive ammunition\, basic defensive handgun skills\, drawing from concealment\, loading and stoppage remediation\, laws regarding the possession\, purchase\, and use of handguns\, and mindset. You will receive three books highlighting what you have learned in class. At the successful completion of the course\, students will also receive an NRA CCW Certificate and be able to apply for your Maryland Wear & Carry Permit. \nYou will need to bring the following items to class:  your firearm\, holster\, concealment garment (a jacket)\, mag pouch\, three magazines\, eye protection\, ear protection\, and 200 rounds of ammo. If you need to rent a firearm\, please let the instructor know. Class will begin at 8:00am.
